Description of Institution

The Center for Development Policy (CDP) is a Pan-African non-profit and non-partisan think tank that exists to contribute to the development of African countries. CDP prioritizes endogenous development solutions. We promote local and empirically tested endogenous innovations that have contributed to development in Africa. CDP works with the local partners to study, document and share lessons and best practices from locally and abroad. Upon request (on demand), we collaborate with local partners to strengthen their organization capacities by offering technical support, and data analytics to inform their decisions. We work with our partners to attract rare talents and skills from abroad including in Diaspora to bridge capacity gaps in the country.
We contribute to development through:
• Evidence-Based policy solutions
• Capacity strengthening
• Promotion of Brain Gain initiatives from Diaspora
