I am an experienced careers guidance practitioner with a Level 6 qualification in careers guidance and development. I have good listening and questioning skills and the ability to develop good working relationship with a wide range of people. I am hardworking and astute in practice. I am organised and have good time-management skills. I am confident in my abilities and I am particularly IT literate. I am always keen to learn and continually develop my skills.

Work Experience
Jan 2011 to Present | Castle Vale Community Housing Association
Employment Support Worker | CEIAG Practitioner
I started this employment as a reach out worker with my main duties to make local residents aware of the services that we offer at our community building – the sanctuary. We then developed the Employment support programme where we provide labour market information to clients and help with CV production, job search, completing application forms and support with confident building and interview techniques. Duties also include:

Talking to people about their abilities, interests and achievements
Exploring learning and work opportunities
Helping pupils make decisions and plans of action
Giving support to overcome barriers
Developing relationships with employers, colleges, universities and training providers
Keeping up to date with occupational and labour market information
Giving talks, updating records and meeting targets.

I have also designed, developed and delivered employability skills programmes such as ‘destination work’. Since 2015, I have worked within schools delivering their CEIAG programmes.
