IOM Sierra Leone launched Diaspora Agribusiness, to utilize SL Diaspora for country development through investment.  Sierra Leone is the time of development phase, but almost all of business sectors faces funding resources. IOM try to utilize Diaspora for encouraging remittance/ investment to home country.

This panel was made up of representatives of key international development sector actors working in Sierra Leone. The discussions focused on Sierra Leone’s positioning to attract development programmes and the role of development partners to contribute to building the private sector in Sierra Leone as a move away from the traditional humanitarian aid methods and projects. The role of women in development, diasporas as key actors and financial inclusivity featured high on the panels discussions.
