Online Diaspora Humanitarian Training

The Diaspora Emergency Action & Coordination initiative has created this course to provide diaspora responders with information, tools and guidance for enhancing a humanitarian response. Are you new in the humanitarian sector or do you want to improve your humanitarian knowledge in an easy and accessible way? And are you engaged with a diaspora organization? Then this course is for you….

This training course has been created to provide diaspora responders with information, tools and guidance for enhancing a humanitarian response.This course has been designed to enhance your knowledge in: The Humanitarian Principles; Needs Assessments; Safety & Security; Accountability & Transparency; Organisational Development; Advocacy and Policy; Project Development; Bid Writing; Reporting; and Monitoring and Evaluation. This course has been designed with diaspora responders in mind but would be beneficial for new humanitarian workers, project managers, managers, volunteers, local responders and anyone wanting entry level insight into the humanitarian sector, setting up an organisation, being an effective advocate and utilising monitoring and evaluation for greater impact. The course is made up of three modules which will take 125 minutes in total (extra time may be taken to complete activities in a supporting workbook). You will be able to download a certificate after you have completed all the modules and the feedback form.
