Under the overcall framework of the Global Diaspora Policy Alliance (GDPA), IOM's Diaspora Unit and Migration Health Division at Headquarters co-developed a paper on "Health Innovation through Diaspora Engagement: Talent, Partners and Allies". By investing in infrastructure, advocating for health rights, and leveraging their networks, diaspora health workers exemplify the power of collective action in advancing global health goals.

The International Conference on the Future Agenda of Action for Global Diaspora Engagement, organized jointly by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Government of Cabo Verde, bringing together the supporters of the Dublin Declaration to glean insights from leading-edge practices in diaspora engagement. Additionally, the conference inaugurated the Global Diaspora Policy Alliance. This alliance is envisioned as a pivotal foundation for crafting the future roadmap of global diaspora engagement initiatives.
