The Ministry of Health in collaboration with International Organization for Migration (IOM) is implementing Diaspora Engagement in Health Sector Project. This project intends to identify and support qualified Rwandan medical professionals, residing in Europe who wish to participate to the project to transfer their skills, knowledge, and technology to Rwanda’s health sector. Selected specialized health Professionals will provide needed services and relevant trainings in their areas of expertise in different health facilities in Rwanda.
The project started on September 2019 and will last until August 2022. This Initiative builds upon the results of the diaspora Mapping Exercise conducted in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom (UK). Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Coordinated the mapping exercise in close collaboration with International Organization for Migration in 2018.
OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The objective of this assignment is to identify skilled Rwandan health professionals residing in European countries to participate in the project through provision of health care services, skills transfer, knowledge, and technology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCES
The Ministry of Health will consider Rwandan Health Professionals, residing in Europe to participate in the Diaspora Engagement in Health Sector Project, with the following minimum qualifications, experience, and competencies:
The supervisors of the assignment are Rwanda Ministry of Health and the project manager for Diaspora Engagement in Health sector project.

The Contract will run for a period of at least one (1) month and the assignment will be undertaken in one of the selected Hospitals
Reporting Obligation and Deliverables
The Health professional shall work under overall technical supervision of the Director General of the hospital. The health professional will take instructions for his/her day-to day functions from the clinical director of the hospital under whom clinical services fall.
The Health Professional shall, for all other administrative and contractual matter, liaise with both the Permanent Secretary of the Rwanda Ministry of Health and Diaspora Engagement Project in Health Sector with written endorsement of the Director General of the Hospital.

Interested Rwandan Diaspora Professionals need only fill in basic information online and upload their CV to be included in the pool of experts for the programme. Information shared is strictly confidential and falls under the IOM Data Protection Principles adopted in 2009 and the IOM Data Protection Manual in 2010. Those principles prevent unnecessary and disproportionate interference into privacy.
