Mauritius: A Diaspora Success Story

Country
Mauritius
Type of Event
Talks/Discussions

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has initiated a vast series of consultations of the Mauritian Diaspora with the objective to support the strengthening of the current and future relationship they wish to have with Mauritius. The aim of the consultations is to know more about you, the diasporas, your profile, expectations, ideas, etc. through online surveys and interactive discussion. As the UN Migration Agency, IOM acknowledges the role of global migrant communities as key actors for development. The consultations are conducted in 3 pilot countries, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, but we wish to also offer the opportunity for all members of the Mauritian diaspora worldwide to contribute and share their thoughts and views.
Therefore to be inclusive and have the opportunity of hearing from all members of the Mauritian diaspora around the world, IOM invites all diaspora members to join this exciting Online Diaspora Series called ‘Mauritius: A Diaspora Success Story’ to share your success stories, explore new energies/ideas to build networks and to learn from international expertise on diaspora engagement. These sessions will run from on 3 consecutive Saturdays from 28 November to 12 December on particular topics.
